Erin Conley, Ed.D.

Special Education & Systems Advocate | Educator | Executive Leader

Dr. Erin Conley is a seasoned education leader with over two decades of experience supporting students, families, and education systems through a lens of equity, access, and transformation. With a doctorate in Educational Leadership and extensive practice at the school, district, and nonprofit levels, Dr. Conley brings a uniquely comprehensive understanding of the special education landscape — from compliance and instructional design to advocacy and systemic change.

Dr. Conley has served as both a school and district administrator overseeing special education, where she led inclusive programming, supervised IEP implementation, and collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to ensure students with disabilities had meaningful access to high-quality learning. Her leadership has shaped professional learning systems, strengthened parent-school partnerships, and addressed disproportionality through data-informed strategies.

Known for her systems thinking and collaborative leadership style, Dr. Conley has designed district-wide initiatives that embed special education into school improvement plans, trained staff on IDEA compliance, and led professional development focused on inclusive practices. She also regularly contributes to state-level conversations around dismantling inequities in education, as reflected in her published research and presentations, including with the Connecticut State Department of Education and SERC.

Whether supporting a single student or redesigning service delivery across a district, Dr. Conley’s work remains rooted in advocacy, empowerment, and ensuring that every learner is seen, supported, and set up to thrive.
